"I said, 'You know what - when I'm dead and gone, when everybody in this band has passed or what have you, I want the world to remember this as a record that needed to be made, and that there was a reason for it,' " Smith says. Overall 5* for the bands and 4 1/2* for The Amp.Įarly in 2007, producer Rob Cavallo asked Shinedown frontman Brent Smith about his goals for the band's new album. I would have loved more merch choices but will shop online for what I couldn’t find at the show. Lines were astronomical so plan your bathroom breaks when no one else will be heading that way. Drinks were pretty expensive but that is expected I suppose for a venue like The Amp. We only had a pretzel so I can’t speak to the other food vendors but the pretzel was a bit hard and definitely not fresh.

We will definitely attend more shows at The Amp as well as hopefully see Shinedown again.

It brought so much nostalgia back along with new memories with their new songs! They put on a spectacular show, engaged the audience, kept our attention and just rocked all around. This was our first time seeing Shinedown though we’ve been listening to them from the beginning of their career. I had never heard of them before buying the tickets but we really enjoyed them and have downloaded their music. Even with the intermittent rain(I should have sprung for floor seats, I’ve never been there before so lesson learned) we had so much fun! Opening band- Dirty Honey was a pleasant surprise.

I cannot even described how great this show was.
